Jack White – Love Interruption

Quite fittingly, “Love Interruption” was released this past Valentine’s Day. It is the first single off Jack White’s forthcoming and first-ever solo album, Blunderbuss. Never being one to hog the spotlight, White shares the focus of “Love Interruption” with the beautiful vocalist, Ruby Amanfu. The acoustic ballad takes on a brooding nature and warns of love’s dangerous ability to tear apart and destroy. I have a large amount of respect for Jack White; he is an extremely talented musician and never fails to breathe life and emotion into his music. Those of you who have followed his solo projects, as well as his work in The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, and The Dead Weather can attest to this. I am all to eager for the release of his solo album, which is set for release painfully far away in late April of this year. I guess “Love Interruption” will just have to tide us over for now.

And as a bonus, here’s one of my favorite songs by The Raconteurs—”Level.” Jack White and Brendan Benson absolutely kill it during this performance!
