Passion Pit is one of those groups that can seemingly do not wrong right now. I mean they just released a great album in Gossamer, are in the midst of a great tour with some major international locations, and they still find time on the side to remix songs that they like. They like to promote other indie artists through their remixes. We previously featured their remix of Of Monsters and Men’s “Little Talks” and this time we got their remix of “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons.
What makes Passion Pit’s remixes so good is that they really do not change the overall feel of the songs in any way or take away from the specific songs. They simply put their own personal flair on it and make it a song of their own.
Also, to do a little more research on Imagine Dragons, I got their new album Night Visions and was honestly blown away. Although I personally have gotten away from it recently, I grew up on indie rock and always have had a special place in my heart for it. And this album reminded me why I love it so much. Just such a unique blending of sounds and such variety that only a band who is doing it for love can do. The only song I previously heard from them was the first track off of this album, “Radioactive”, which is the song in the commercial for the new NBC show Chicago Fire that I saw numerous times throughout the Olympics. Check it below if you haven’t seen it yet:
And here is the amazing remix: Give it a listen. Do yourself a favor and check out Imagine Dragon’s whole album too
