Now, if I told you a year ago that Miley Cyrus would be doing a dubstep song, you’d probably call me nuts. But in a life transformation (or a publicity stunt, your choice) Miley is now a party girl with a raver chick haircut, who has been seen at EDM concerts numerous times recently.
Borgore already featured her on a song, but with the release of the video for the track, Miley really completes her departure from where she once was. Sure, she has certainly shed her Disney Channel “Hannah Montana” image in her personal life, but now it has crept over into her music. Needless to say, there is no way Miley is turning back at this point.
This video also marks a great risk/reward scenario for Israeli Dubstep artist Borgore. The reward is that just by including Miley Cyrus in one of his tracks, he is definitely going to reach more ears due to Miley Cryus’ fandom. However, the risk is Borgore isolating his audience, who may be turned off by him working with one of the most polarizing pop stars in the industry.
As far as the song goes, it actually is very catchy. Miley only really provides back up vocals for the chorus, so it isn’t like she is throwing out verses or anything. Still, she is a pretty big part of the video, and seems to be embracing her new role.
