Well the boys over in Coyote Kisses have done it again, with a mix of deep bass and ethereal sounds galore they’ve created a melodic masterpiece. The Thundercolor EP is nothing short of beautiful with each track taking you deeper and deeper in a journey through the cosmos. Knife Party has always been one of those groups that really just puts out nothing but straight fucking bangers and their new ‘Haunted House’ EP is a testament to that. Coming right out of the gate with the massive “Power Glove” track, this EP already begins to enthrall you with nothing but pure bass filled energy. This is definitely a MUST listen and MUST download. So i don’t know about y’all, but i’ve been feeling incredibly nostalgic lately. I graduate in less than two weeks, ready to begin a new part of my life and I know some of you guys are right there with me. Radical Something has always been able to put out track that are perfect to just chill out and cruise to with the windows down, this track is no exception. It has such a feel-good vibe to it as most of their tracks do. Singing about the good old days when life was carefree and things were just plain easy. Definitely a solid grad send-off song. Be sure to peep it and support these guys, they’ve got a real talent and i’d love to see them get the recognition they deserve.
So the Mau5meister himself gave us a preview of a new collaboration he’s working on with none other than his bride-to-be Kat Von D. It’s almost a completely new sound for the infamous producer and honestly I feel like its absolutely beautiful. The piano/violin intro coupled with KvD’s vocals are entrancing. Then in comes the deep glitchy bass line which almost seems to whisk you away on some sort of industrial cloud. I’m so amped to hear this sort of cross-genre music, especially coming from such a solid producer as Deadmau5. Definitely need to keep your eyes peeled for whats yet to come. So I stumbled upon this track searching around for music for my radio show yesterday and the second I hit play I knew it was going to be massive. The sheer quality in the production of this song is phenomenal. The vocals and melodies are entrancing. I can without a doubt certify this as a MUST DOWNLOAD. So this was my first time seeing Knife Party live and I can tell you that if you have not seen them yet, then it is an absolute priority of yours to get to their next show. The absolute unreal ability the duo of Rob Swire & Gareth McGrillen have to mix the most incredible songs into a show is phenomenal. They have the ability to just whisk you away to far-off places with their music and then drop you down into a party of nothing but BASS. From their original tracks such as “Internet Friends” and “Centipede” all the way to SHM – “Dont You Worry Child” and even Missy Elliot’s “Work It”! They just have such a talent that comes with the experience behind their work that is unmatched. My favorite part of the night came is tied between the dropping of their remix of Porter Robinson’s “Unison” track (my favorite song) and when Gareth popped a bottle of champagne on the crowd JUST as “Internet Friends” dropped. UNREAL. The crowd was so insanely excited for them to come on and they definitely did not disappoint. I would even go as far to say they BLEW AWAY my expectations. Just massive. Easily cracking my top 5 favorite artists to see live. I literally CANNOT wait to see them again and I highly recommend ALL of you go check them out asap.
