Matisyahu is back with the acoustic session of his latest album “Spark Seeker”. Essentially a much more chilled out version with a much more intimate feel. The raw feel of these tracks have an incredible relaxing effect. I have a feeling this is going to be one of my favorite EP’s coming out during the winter months. Definitely grab this when it drops tomorrow.
In case you missed it, here is the video of the German producer Zedd performing a beautiful acoustic rendition of his song “Clarity.” Zedd shows us that not only is he skilled at producing, but that he is also a very talented pianist. Foxes’ vocals are even more beautiful live (if that’s possible) and check out the background for Alvin Risk providing some backup!
I think this occasion perfectly illustrates the ever closing gap between EDM and the mainstream music culture. It’ll be interesting to see if this leads to more DJ’s and producers pushing to get their work on network TV programs.
As a bonus, here is the official video for “Clarity” that Zedd released a few weeks back…there’s a surprise at the end if you’re patient.
A little acoustic TRAP? Why not. First heard this track in Benzi’s newest Girl Trap Mix and instantly recognized the song. Daniel Bedingfield’s hit “Gotta Get Through This” was a tune back in 2001. Benzi and eSenTRIK decided to give it a cool little trap remix. From what I hear in this track, Benzi and eSenTRIK took the acoustic version of the track, and just ran the trap on it. Love the guitar sound they left in. Very unique and a cool track to listen on any occasion. Check it out and download for FREE!
I happened to come across this because on of my buddies posted it on facebook. Not gonna lie, I only gave it a shot because the girl is an absolute smoke. On top of that though, it turns out shes got pipes and does some justice in turning these songs into acoustic joints. So check out the two songs below and give the girl a follow on youtube or something. Trust me, this shit is gonna go viral!
As most of you guys know, we at Catch My Bass like to introduce our fans to emerging artists from our local areas. Someone who you should definitely hear about is Wyatt Duino. He currently is in Tucson, Arizona attending the University of Arizona but is originally from California. He has a very interesting musical taste which creates a unique blend in his genre. He mixes his R&B-type vocals with a sort of Acoustic Pop-Alternative, but dabbles in some tracks that can be more Electro/Deep Bass. Essentially, he is very unique artist, one that cannot be easily defined.
As an introduction to him as an artist, we have a video of Wyatt doing an Acoustic Cover to Ne-Yo’s “So Sick”
Be sure to check back here for updates regarding his debut album, which should be available on iTunes early 2013. Also, look out for a music video and a more in-depth interview with Catch My Bass in the coming weeks.
Ed Sheeran has been one of my favorite artists this year and after finally releasing his debut album “+” he is blowing up! The amount of talent this guy has is ridiculous and is finally getting the attention he deserves. Today he released his music video to his hit track “Give Me Love.” This vid gives some great visuals to an incredible song. Check it out!
Diplo is such a goon. He posts a mix titled ‘got stoned and mixed really old records for like half an hour’ and then quickly followed that title with a message to people to “not do drugs” going completely whats pictured in the album art. Regardless relax and lay back to this old school mix given to us by one of the best DJs in the world and grab the track for yourself below!
