Last night she did her first late night performance on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show along with Mac Miller with The Roots as her accompanying band, which should be considered a huge complement and accomplishment.

19-year-old Ariana got her start on the Nickelodeon channel doing the show Victorious and was so well-liked that she has a spin-off show Sam & Cat that is premiering soon. However, this is not just another Nickelodeon Pop experiment. This girl has the vocals to back it up and many have no problem saying her range reminds them of a Mariah Carey-type performer. Mac Miller definitely could have had his fingerprint on a lot of young artists with his current status in the music industry, so that fact that he chose her definitely speaks to her musical ability.

Her debut album Daydreamin’ is due out late August, and she is bound to blow up, so get on the bandwagon now before there’s no room left.

Paul van Dyk is a legend in the trance world, one of the leading DJ and producers to hit the scene and any producer is honored to work on a collaboration with him as Arnej is for this MASSIVE anthem for We Are One festival in Berlin Germany on July 6th. Been in love with Fehrplay since first hearing him introduced to the Pryda and Friends label and the kid has been smashing the Beatport charts for quite some time now with monsterous productions of what true progressive is all about. Showing no signs of stopping, the latest remix ‘Give it to the People’ by The Child of Lov is deeper then his productions before but still giving it the progressive sound noted from the Norwegian up and coming star. Yesterday, Andrew McMahon released a music video for his song “Synesthesia”, which was the first track off of his EP The Pop Underground which was his first solo effort after successful runs with Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin.

However, still being defined as an Indie-Alternative artist, it is not very often that Andrew is able to make music videos with a lot of production value, yet he is able to achieve something great with this one.

The video itself is a very good accompaniment of the song itself, which is thoughtful yet very light-hearted. The style of the clothing is very summer-esque, and what is in style now, with the exposed midriffs and short shorts. It just seems to be friends having fun in the summer sun, embracing the point in life that they are in. Having a majority of the video being in soft focus also goes with the theme of synestesia (which means sensory and a multitude of senses).

There has been many mixed reviews about The Pop Underground as a whole, tending to use more synth and electro than Andrew has used in the past, but it still seems to be a nice departure from where he has been in recent months. For the diehard following that Andrew McMahon has, there is hopes that a full-length album will be in the future.

Jesus lord have mercy. That’s about all I can really say about the Evil ID from Max Graham who recently blew apart Pachita with an open to close set that not only left his incredible fans emotional but him as well. Max truly has an appreciation for every fan of his, and it’s apparent with his massive twitter followers and taking the time to interact with as many followers as he can. Don’t sleep on Farrell, kid is going to be doing big things in the future. I’ve been on a progressive house/electro house kick recently, watching the talents of young producers like Audien and Paris Blohm just exploded and I feel that he is on the precipices of doing the same. Massive new track from him titled, Chrome, that you’ve gotta get your hands on and give it a proper listen! Check it out below and download it for yourself!

For those Trance lovers who have been listening to Markus Schulz’s Radio Show Global DJ Broadcast, they have heard this track a few times now, but it deserves more than that. And Italian DJ Gai Barone takes a song and makes it his own with his remix of Danilo Ercole’s “PLayer ONe” by giving the track a progressive feel. Schulz named him one of the top 5 newcomers to the Trance scene in 2009, and has been providing quality tracks ever since. Definitely a track that deserved to be the global selection for the radio show and deserves more recognition.

There has been a debate that has waged on in the EDM world recently regarding live performances. Some say that is a full-fledged art when others simply say that sometimes, all major DJ’s really do is ‘hit play’ (see: Deadmau5). However, when it comes to the jam bands such as Dispatch, they’re live performances are just works of art.

Obviously there are bands like Phish and The String Cheese Incident who tour the entire country back and forth playing night after night after night and just constantly deliver amazing sets.

Then there is a band like Dispatch who has had hiatuses and side projects that have limited them being able to tour, which has given less sets. However, few bands in recent memory have perfected the live album like Dispatch has to still give the fans that live experience when they are not able to go to concerts.

“Ain’t No Trip to Cleveland” is just the latest live album that Dispatch has put together of songs from various performances along their most recent tours. It gives a really good sampling of their older stuff, but mostly features tracks off of their newest album Circles Around The Sun.

This is definitely a must listen for anyone who wants to experience some good live performances. You can get the album here.
