Two Fresh – Du Du Doo (GRiZ Remix)

This is a song whose beat I haven’t been able to get out of my head for days. Just a perfect example of electro funk, which is still very much a fringe genre. Electro funk has been a staple of a lot of electro producers recently just for how upbeat they are and how these songs can really get a crowd going. And Producer GRiZ has said through his soundcloud that this is one of his most popular songs recently for its funky groove.

GRiZ is a 21-year-old Producer out of Detroit and has been making a name for himself recently. Probably his biggest thing as of late he has done is teaming up with one of the biggest names in electro funk, Big Gigantic, and working on a few tracks. Understandable, because this is a great track. If you’re looking to get into a good mood, listen to this one.

Big Gigantic – “Colorado Mountain High”

Something that got underreported in this years election due to the Presidential Race was Amendment 64 in the state of Colorado, which has legalized marijuana in the state. That’s right, it’s legal to use recreationally. Completely. Legal. Stoners can now rejoice!

To celebrate being the first state to do something like this, Big Gigantic, whose members hail from Boulder, Colorado, released a song that combines some Lil Wayne lyrics with some huge dubstep drops and just overall greatness. I love Big G, the brass instruments are amazing, just some great remixes. Something worth listening to

Basic Physics – The Encore (Chiddy Bang x Hardwell x Deadmau5 x Ellie Goulding)

So this isn’t the first time Catch My Bass has wrote about the amazing mash up group Basic Physics. Do yourself a favor and listen to/download their album Liftoff. You’re welcome.

Anyway, we have yet another amazing mashup putting together Chiddy Bang, Hardwell, Deadmau5, and Ellie Goulding all in Mashup harmony.

Basic Physics is a lot like other DJ/Mashup Groups; Bunch of White Guys with computers from Middle America. In this case it is Alex Syse, Dan Curme, and Eric Mitchell from Minneapolis. Doesn’t stop them from booking huge shows and getting people to rage their face off. They’ve opened for acts from Chiddy Bang to Big Gigantic. Basically, groups and singers figured out that if you want your crowd to be energized and pumped, Basic Physics are the guys to call.

Big Gigantic – NOCTURNAL Album

Alright so dubstep/electro superstar big gigantic dropped this album recently and i instantly loved it. I’ve always been into that kind of glitchy old school chillstep kind of stuff, cause you can do anything to it, rage out or just chill out. Definitely a solid album, love all the actual instruments used in some tracks. Download and rage on my friends.
