The Men in Dada Life went OFF at EDC. A friend of mine saw their set in Vegas and said they were ragingly drunk and delivered an incredible set. Check out their live set here and get it as a free download!
Today we have a preview from the King of Dirty Dutch, Chuckie. Debuted at EDC NYC, this track certainly has the classic Dutch sound you come to expect from Chuckie. With a big build up and a surreal drop this track is sure fire. There is no official name or release date yet, but check back with CMB for more info on this track.
I really regret not seeing at Tritonal at EDC NYC because after listening to his set at EDC Vegas and hearing the descriptions from friends who were out there it sounded like Tritonal had one of the best sets of the weekend. Tritonal is #83 on this year’s Top 100, but I think they’re only moving up. Dave Reed and Chad Cisneros make up the group and they’ve been performing with Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Armin, and other legends for a the past couple of years. The inaugural Electric Daisy Carnival in NYC was a success. I could go on a review the stages, the lineups, the artists, and the costumes, but this post is going to be AVB specific. So, after his set at Ultra back in March, I feel like a lot of EDM fanatics started listening to Armin more and more. That also meant that there would be more trance music being listened to. Closing on Saturday, in his own sponsored A State of Trance (ASOT) stage, Armin played a set like I’ve never seen before. Not once did he stopbringing the energy. The crowd felt that, and there was a clear connection between everyone in the crowd and the performer it seemed. Words cannot continue to describe this one of a kind performance from this one of a kind producer. If you are to see only one artist ever, see Armin van Buuren. Enjoy bros, I highly recommend a listen and a download.

There’s one week left until Eric Prydz’s releases a 3 CD compilation of magic. Tracks that have been unreleased for over a year will be available on May 21. Definitely make the move to listen/buy some of Prydz. I have actually started to listen to him more and more in the past week and I really dig the Swede’s electro-tech-house vibe.
