I’m a little apprehensive to put the “Indie” tag on this, because Jack White is far from an underground artist. He is a bonafide star with his workings with The White Stripes, The Dead Weather, and The Raconteurs. However, he has been known to have issues with working with others in the past, so many were very excited for him to release his first solo album “Blunderbuss” under the record label he also controls, Third Man Records. And he certainly did not disappoint.

There is a very interesting arch to the album itself, something much better served listening from beginning to end instead of listening to it on shuffle on your iPod. He definitely matured in his lyrics, going for content over pop sound, which was never really his prerogative to begin with. He does have a alt rock hit on his hands with “Love Interruption” which is a really catchy tune. Definitely something worth listening to.
