Anyone looking to get lost in the enthralls of soul-and-blues inspired rock music need not look further than Jack White. Just as likely to croon out a love ballad as he is to bellow out powerful vocals alongside heavy riffs and power chords, Jack White spans the spectrum of what rock is and should be; he is in the truest sense of the word, an artist.
He performed at his American Express UNSTAGED show about two weeks ago at Webster Hall. Because of final papers and projects, I was unfortunately unable to attend. I’m just glad he uploaded some videos from the concert. I envy those of you who were able to go. It only took 10 seconds into one of the highlight videos to see that it was an amazing concert. Some of the songs he performed, like “Sixteen Saltines” and “Freedom to 21,” are off Blunderbuss, his first full-length solo album; others, such as “I’m Slowly Turning into You” and the ever popular “Seven Nation Army,” are from his older work. Below, are four–because I couldn’t possibly choose just three–awesome clips from the show. Head to JackWhiteVevo to see all the uploaded videos and to his official website to buy Blunderbuss.
