Knife Party has always been one of those groups that really just puts out nothing but straight fucking bangers and their new ‘Haunted House’ EP is a testament to that. Coming right out of the gate with the massive “Power Glove” track, this EP already begins to enthrall you with nothing but pure bass filled energy. This is definitely a MUST listen and MUST download. Be sure to check out the EP below and cop that shit on iTunes ASAP.
So this was my first time seeing Knife Party live and I can tell you that if you have not seen them yet, then it is an absolute priority of yours to get to their next show. The absolute unreal ability the duo of Rob Swire & Gareth McGrillen have to mix the most incredible songs into a show is phenomenal. They have the ability to just whisk you away to far-off places with their music and then drop you down into a party of nothing but BASS. From their original tracks such as “Internet Friends” and “Centipede” all the way to SHM – “Dont You Worry Child” and even Missy Elliot’s “Work It”! They just have such a talent that comes with the experience behind their work that is unmatched. My favorite part of the night came is tied between the dropping of their remix of Porter Robinson’s “Unison” track (my favorite song) and when Gareth popped a bottle of champagne on the crowd JUST as “Internet Friends” dropped. UNREAL. The crowd was so insanely excited for them to come on and they definitely did not disappoint. I would even go as far to say they BLEW AWAY my expectations. Just massive. Easily cracking my top 5 favorite artists to see live. I literally CANNOT wait to see them again and I highly recommend ALL of you go check them out asap.
p.s. More Pictures & Videos to come
Also BIG shout out to the people over at their PR department for giving us an opportunity to cover them!
EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Knife Party is literally going to SHUT MIAMI DOWN for UMF 15. After spinning an absolutely nasty set on Turntables.fm last night, a few of their new tracks that are yet to be released were previewed. This. Will. Make. You. RAGE. Check it out and let us know what you think!
No other electro dubstep duo has my attention like Knife Party right now. The kind of energy, sound, and skill this duo possess on the decks is out of this world and they’ve brought us this very cleverly titled 32 minute mix that they made for Mixmag that is out of this WORLD! They went OFF on this going all over the place with massive remixs of electrobangers! Check out the full track list below and cop the free download of the mix as well! I’m definitely going to be bumping this at pregames after Thanksgiving break and I bet you will too!

If you’re not familiar with Knife Party’s work and their EP title and cover art (see above) still aren’t enough of an indicator for you, let me say it now: these guys bring the ruckus! The duo, made up of Pendulum frontman, Rob Swire, and his fellow band member, Gareth McGrillen, are right to describe their work as seizure music. It is not for the faint of heart. The ‘Rage Valley’ EP has been released a day early, i.e. today, on Beatport due to leaks earlier this week. The EP features “Rage Valley” and “Centipede,” two tracks that are synonymous with their signature sound, as well as “Sleaze,” a sick Moombahton banger, and “Bonfire,” a song that nicely fuses elements of dubstep and reggae.
And for those of you living in the NYC Metro area with nothing to do on Sunday, June 3rd, you definitely want to check out the Knife Party Concert being held at the Brooklyn Terminal Project. Not only will Knife Party be playing songs from their new EP, but the venue is supposed to be sick! It’s an outdoor venue that boasts amazing views of the NYC skyline. I wouldn’t miss it if I were you. You can buy tickets here. Below is the ‘Rage Valley’ EP preview. You can buy it now on Beatport here or wait until June 4th to buy it on Itunes.
