Flux has finally dropped his EPIC bass heavy “Blow The Roof” EP. He spans multiple genres on this one and it’s nothing short of amazing. Definitely an epic party starter. Be sure to pick this one up on iTunes and as always, rage on my friends.
It’s been way too long since I last checked up on my favorite mashup artists. The duo from Chicago has already dropped one insane party starting track and one super chill track in 2013.
The first, “Go!” is a bit different than the traditional mashups the Pandas usually produce. Instead, they give us a bootleg that features the vocals from NeYo’s “Let’s Go,” the beautiful build up from Chuckie and Promise Land’s “Breaking Up,” and finally the nasty electro drop from Hard Rock Sofa and Swanky Tunes collab “Here We Go.” All three combine to form a rager trifecta. Keep this one in your arsenal for that next pregame.
The second is a chilled out mashup that combines the Kendrick Lamar hit “Swimming Pools (Drank)” with Pierce Fulton’s “West Egg.” The result is a great cure for a Sunday hangover. Enjoy.

Its just about that time, no not Christmas, no not New Years, but well, technically New Years I guess, because we are about to be bombarded with a slew of best of lists as well as year end mashups. Ugh, this category of music used to be pretty good, but then people started mashing too many songs together with no real purpose. Anyways, here are the two biggest mashups so far. The first is from DJ Earworm, who started this trend of year end mixes. Not gonna lie, I think this is his best one yet. The songs actually work together, the lyrics make a real song, and the transitions are wonderful. I highly advise any fan of radio music to check this one out.
Second, we have the 2012 installment of Pop Danthology, which bold informs us that it mashed up 50+ pop songs. Geez, 50+, really, and this thing is 8 minutes long? This song is a perfect example of why mashups get a bad name. One, its too long, like way too long. Also, it just doesnt sound like the same song throughout, just a bunch of minimashups strung together to make a huge one. Its not to say that this mix doesnt have its moments, but it isnt a stunning as Earworms.

After the Made In America Festival was said and done with that Sunday, people got word of Cazzette throwing down at Lit Ultra Bar for a wild after party, which was presented by Wondrom! By 11pm the line wrapped around Lit, while everyone was trying to make their way inside for the Swedish DJ duo, Cazzette. Right around 1am the two took to the DJ booth and the place exploded. People not only came from the local Made In America Festival, but all the way from Electric Zoo in NYC. The energy was high at Lit and the night went to the early morning. It was definitely a great way to finish off one of the biggest festival weekends in the northeast! Sorry for this coming up a little late, we had some serious computer/camera problems, but we finally got the pics for you! With Made In America coming up this weekend here in Philadelphia, there are tons of parties before and after the Festival. Having so many artists coming to the city of “brotherly love” of course some of them are going to stick around for some after parties. We got another great track from up and comer in the rap game, Schoolboy Q. Schoolboy Q’s most popular song is arguably “Hands on the Wheel” featuring A$AP Rocky. However, he is someone that is bigger than just one or two massive tracks. The flow on this track is something to really notice. And the beats are great as well. Just overall a good song for ya
