Stumbled upon this track while at work, it has such a different sound and flows so well with the lyrics. I’ve had it on repeat since I heard and it still hasnt gotten old. Probably one of the more chill songs i’ve heard in a while. This is the first single off of Finding Muzyamba’s debut album The Experience. We recently received this submission and lemme tell you, look out for Chris Cartier, I swear he’s one step away from going big time. Recently, it’s hard to find that passion and originality in the rap game that made the greats like HOV, Nas, and Common who they are today. 19 year old up and coming talent from NYC, Cartier swags hard with a young charismatic attitude that will definitely leave an impression on you. He’s had the opportunity to open for acts like A$AP Rocky, Ghostface Killah, and Wu-Block to name a few, and plans on making a huge splash in 2013. Work Hard Play Hard is one of those songs that I first listened to and thought it would make a DOPE trapstyle remix and Valentino and ETC!ETC! agreed but added their own individual flavor to it. With a unique change of speed in the entire song and teasing different pitches, I highly recommend listening to the song and letting us know what you think. Here are some of the top performances I would check out for Made in American Festival 2012 Sunday night:
1) Run D.M.C. - You can’t even tell me you’d go to a Festival with Run D.M.C., New York’s finest hip hop group, and NOT see them performing live. The ground breaking group would be electric in concert and sure to give a performance you’d never forget. They would definitely rock the mic with some old school that would have everyone remembering what rap used to be like. Check them out on the Rocky Stage at 2:45pm!
2) Alesso - Have to say, some of the DJ’s performing on Sunday are literally the most massive acts around. Alesso with his monster tracks like “Years” and “Nillionaire” will for sure get the crowd vibing and dancing for what will feel like hours on end. Check him out at the Freedom Tent at 7:00pm to bring you into the night the right way!
3) Afrojack - No one else can rock the house like this Dutchmen can, and I would give up a lot of things for a while just to see him perform. Cancelling a few of his shows just to be prepared for this festival, Afrojack is going to bring out all the stops. At the Freedom Tent at 8:30pm he’s going to have some of the highest energy of any of the performers so don’t miss out on what is sure to be a classic set!
4) Nicky Romero - a late add on, Nicky Romero isn’t even on the official Made in America poster, but this legendary dirty Dutch DJ will have the crowd going the second he touches the 1′s and 2′s. He’s sure to release some great new tracks that will have the entire place raging into the late hours of the night. Once I find out the set time I’ll let you know but I guarantee this is a set you will NOT want to miss for anything!
5) Odd Future - Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All or OFWGKTA as it is abbreviated will bring their unique style of hip hop and are sure to set the place ablaze. Tyler the Creator, front man for the group, doesn’t care what anyone will think or what you will even think of his performance so long as he’s killing it with the boys he loves. The collection of rappers and artist who will for sure kill the stage with him will have you hoping that they perform an encore without a doubt. Check him kill Liberty Stage at 6:30pm on Sunday
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are back with the second single of of the upcoming album The Heist, and let me tell you, this song is dope. Now some people might not appreciate this song as much as I do, but I love shopping at thrift stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army. You can honestly find some of the coolest things for like 3 dollars. (Shout out to my cousin Steve for getting me into thrift store shopping) But really, this song perfectly encompasses Macklemore’s personality as it is quirky, off the wall, and not supposed to be taken seriously, just like And We Danced. Also, since I’ve been slacking all summer, here is the first single Mackelmore & Ryan Lewis put out, entitled Same Love ft Mary Lambert. Holy hell does this song have a strong but important message, and instead of saying it myself, just click the link to see Macklemores thoughts unedited

Thanks to the Hoodie Mob coming through with 13,000 likes on Hoodie’s facebook status last night, Allen decided to release a new song and lyric video for all of us. The song, titled Feel the Love samples from the song of the same name by Rudimental ft John Newman. I had been meaning to post that song for some time now, but tying it in with this new Hoodie release lets me give you both songs right now. Im not completly feeling Hoodie’s first verse, but after that it really picks up when he gets into his wordplay and his singing. Whenever anyone can drop a Based God reference, J-Wow shoutout and a line involving Prince Harry you got to take a listen. So check it out and also check out the original song and enjoy!

Alright so I know I dont normally post rap, but I had to drop this one on you guys. The video was posted on Hopsin’s youtube account this morning. My dude literally just goes off on modern society, honing in the youth of today and essentially ripping them apart from how they act, think, talk, walk, and breath.
