Boston’s boy is back at it again. Sammy Adams gives us his latest project “OK COOL: Pre-Album Mixtape” that remixes some crazy good songs from Madeon’s “Finale” to Flosstradamus’ “Total Recall”. Working alongside Clinton Sparks and JayCeeOh, Sammy Adams remixes are clever and refreshing and a treat for all those who care to take a listen. Download the mixtape here and check out the fresh visuals provided for his newest song “All Night Longer”. Keep livin’ the dream man and I’ll cheers to that
We got a new song for you guys by Alternative/Rap Group Radical Something. They have been definitely picking up steam recently, after playing with Sammy Adams at The House of Blues in Los Angeles last night and being very positively received. It’s obvious to see why with the cool relaxed feel they have in their music.
The trio of Josh Cocktail, Loggy, and Big Red burst onto the scene in late 2011 and have been releasing great track after great track. They really gained more attention this summer with their #SummerofRAD, where they are releasing one track with video and acoustics every week, (Santa Barbara is Week 6).
Be sure to keep an eye on them for the rest of the summer.
If you guys have never heard the name Bei Maejor, I dont know where you’ve been. The song writer, producer and now recording artist, is a major (pun intended) force in the music game. This guy has recieved Grammy nominations for his work, and first came to my attention last year with his piano cover of Swim Good by Frank Ocean. He is also credited with helping to write Only One and Summertime, both singles from Sam Adams. Here is his second single, Lights Down Low, featuring one of raps favorite enigmas, Waka Flocka Flame
So this is being called an unofficial single of sorts for Sammy’s “debut” album, although I’m always going to consider Boston’s Boy his first album. Regardless, this song has tons of radio potential. I really feel like its only a matter of time before you start hearing tons of Sam Adams songs on the radio. But until then, you guys can just jam to this and to Summertime
Sammy Adams gives us a summer hit, with the aptly title song Summertime. The chorus borrows heavily from I Hate College but its still a pretty legit song. Not to heavy, its more of a chill out and relax summer jam. So bump this shit while you are cruising around in the sun
Here it is guys, the brand new mixtape from Boston’s Boy Sam Adams. Its been a while since he has given us a mixtape, and let me tell you, this one doesn’t disappoint with production on some tracks coming from Job as well as Bei Major. With the success of his video “Blow Up” that he dropped recently (watch it here ) Sammy has been creating a lot of buzz leading up to his album which will drop in 2012. This mixtape should hold you over until then and should definitely be on your New Years Eve playlist. #BBSG Be Big Stay Grounded 2012
Boston’s Boy, Sammy Adams released a new song today called “Blow Up”. Not many people realize this, but him and Asher Roth really got the whole whiteboy rapping movement going. Really, they set the stage for Chris Webby, Huey Mack, Hoodie Allen, and so on.
After “Boston’s Boy”, people were expecting big things from Sammy Adams. However, he really hasn’t put out much good shit lately, so hopefully this single will get him going again.
This guy really is great, rapping over the Pixies’ hit “Where is my Mind” and having some clever wordplay.
P.S. I’m actually a huge Pixies fan so I suggest you give this video a look: A live performance of “Where is My Mind?”
