Ed Sheeran & Yelawolf – The Slumdon Bridge EP

In my opinion, this collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Yelawolf is the most interesting pairing of individuals on songs together in a long time. Obviously there has been a push towards collaborations but none have married together two different sounds like this. Yelawolf, an Alabama native, brings his gritty vocals across the pond to blend with Ed’s London based soulful voice and sound. The combination has a sort of countryish feel on London Bridge, more of a rap sound on You Don’t Know (For Fucks Sake) , an angry contemporary feel on Faces, and concludes with slightly softer feel on Tone (which really isn’t soft at all, but Yelawolf slows down his flow on this track)
For some reason, this collab ended up a lot better than I thought it would. The softer passion in Ed’s voice melds perfectly with Yelawolfs delivery and content leading to a great Valentine’s Day gift for us all. So check it out and Download The Slumdon Bridge EP
