Phillip Phillips – Home (US Gymnastics Song)

So unless you have no national pride, you are watching the Olympics right now, and if you are like me, you have definitely been watching the gymnastics as well. The other night when I was watching and they played the promo music for the US team while NBC aired some montage, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the song they played. I would have sworn it was Mumford & Sons, a band that I enjoy and respect, but my google search instead lead me to Phillip Phillips, the winner of this years American Idol competition. WTF?! But hey, the song is really really good, produced by Interscope, one of the biggest record labels out there, Home is a song that should be on everyones playlists and one that I cant wait to hear again when they air the womens all around competition tonight. So take a listen to this great folksy indie pop hit, and enjoy these uber flexible nubile teens jumping and flipping around. I know I will : ]

Sensation USA Announcement

Last night it was officially announced that Sensation will be invading New York City at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn for two nights, October 26 and 27. This is the first time Sensation will be coming to America and this will surely be a special event. I was fortunate enough to go to Sensation in Belgium this past spring and it was nothing short of incredible. With close to 20,000 people in attendance, all dressed in white listening to Afrojack, Sander van Doorn, and Dada Life and countless others tear it up till 6 am in what was truly a magical experience. I would definitely attend this event if you have the opportunity for it will surely be a memorable night. No word yet on a official lineup, but I’m sure it will be loaded. Tickets go on sale June 8 and the event is 21+.
