Ellie Goulding – Anything Could Happen

Ahhhhhh! Yes, finally, some more new Ellie Goulding tracks for us to enjoy. The radio around me has finally started playing Lights, but by now, that track is old news, and its safe to say that based on this single the new album is going to be dope. Co-produced by Xaphoon Jones, this track contains his signature production style as well as the soaring highs and lows of Ellies voice and her beautiful lyricism. So, take a listen, check out the sick fan inspired Instagram infused music video, and get ready for Halcyon, which comes out on October 9th!

Ellie Goulding – Hanging On (Active Child Cover)

Here is the second song released by Ellie Goulding following her amazing cover of the weeknd’s High For This which was produced by Chiddy Bang member, Xaphoon Jones. This track is entitled Hanging On and is a cover of a song by Active Child, who up until this point I had never heard of. Ellie’s voice works perfectly on the track and her version maintains the harp and light airiness that make the track so special in the first place. Ive included the live version of the song as done by Active Child so you guys can compare. I personally like the Ellie version better, but the original is impressive in its own right. My only gripe is the unnecessary Tinie Tempah verse, but whatever, hopefully if someone remixes this they will graciously cut it out : ]

Usher -Lemme See ft Rick Ross

Here ya go, the 3rd and final single from Usher’s upcoming 7th studio album, Looking For Myself. This song is probably the second best out of the 3 released so far. Climax was by far the best, a great showcase of Ushers vocal talent, this falls in the middle, thanks to a guest verse from Rick Ross and a dope beat, and Scream, which seemed manufactured for a club coming in third. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what the rest of the album contains and which way the music trends, whether it be more club songs, or more of the introspective R&B joints that Usher shines on.

PS This is sure as hell going on the playlist of “get it in” songs along with countless others, most notably Neighbors Know My Name
